August 2019Lifespan and St. John Fisher now offering Gerontology Certificate program Lifespan is now offering series of CEU-eligible courses in Gerontology. Participants who complete the 120-hour course will earn a Certificate in Gerontology from St. John Fisher College. Courses are held on Wednesdays, 3-6 p.m. at Lifespan. Rochester Regional Health announces new nurse residency rrogram Rochester Regional Health has developed a new nurse residency program for graduating nurses to ease the transition from classroom to clinical practice and reduce nursing turnover rates. The first residency class will train over 100 new graduates across Rochester Regional's five hospitals and the Primary Care and Ambulatory Specialty Institute. The funding will contribute to an expansion of the Loretta C. Ford Education Wing of Helen Wood Hall, allowing for additional learning space, new technology and experiential learning labs. The Council on Dental Accreditation passed votes for curricular changes for predoctoral dental, orthodontics, dental hygiene and dental assistant programs.
