Joe Di Fiore

Youth & Family Engagement Specialist

Joe Di Fiore partners with families and youth to help achieve policy and practice changes that support children’s health. His work includes providing advocacy training for parents and community leaders and making complex information understandable for diverse audiences. He joined Common Ground Health in 2019.

Previously, Di Fiore recruited and coordinated neighborhood volunteers as a Complete Streets, PlayRocs and PlayStreets community champion. As the founder of Little Flower Homes in Rochester, N.Y., he helped provide housing to community-oriented and civically engaged people and coordinated neighborhood volunteer projects.

Active in the Rochester community, Di Fiore volunteers for the Beechwood Neighborhood Coalition and R-Community Bikes. He also is vice president of the School 33 PTA and serves on the Peace Village and City Roots CLT boards of directors.

Joe Di Fiore holds a bachelor’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from State University of New York at Oswego. His hobbies include judo, Brazilian jiu jitsu, skiing and bike riding.
