Catriona Spier plans, designs and executes analytic approaches to bring clarity to a wide range of health challenges in the Finger Lakes region. She prepares reports and presentation for partners and staff and provides research support for Common Ground’s collaborative initiatives.
Prior to joining Common Ground in 2020, Spier’s experience in public health included an internship at YourCare Health Plan, where she worked on quality-management and health-practitioner education projects focused on children's health. As a chemical disclosure program manager at the Vermont Department of Health, Spier led the development of a database and online reporting system for manufacturers and helped draft legislative rules governing the program.
She also served as a teaching assistant at the University of Vermont, helping students understand epidemiological concepts.
Catriona Spier holds a master’s degree in Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont. Her hobbies include running, yoga and watercolor painting.
