High School Graduation Rates by Race/Ethnicity in Monroe County

This chart shows high school graduation rates by race and ethnicity within Monroe County. The graduation rate is defined as the percentage of students from the 2018 ninth grade cohort that graduated on-time in 2022.

It is notable that regardless of race and ethnicity, the graduation rates in the suburbs of Monroe County are significantly higher than those in the City of Rochester. In Monroe County there is a sizeable gap in graduation rates based on race and ethnicity, with White non-Latino students graduating at higher rates than Black and Latino students. This disparity is consistent with graduation rate patterns across the region.
