Very Premature Birth Rates (<32 weeks) by Mother's Age

Monroe County, New York (2013 - 2015)

Regardless of location, premature birth rates are higher for teen mothers. The disparity faced by teen mothers is particularly large when focused on the very preterm birth rates. The county-wide teen rate for very preterm births is 3.6 percent, which is 80 percent higher than the rate for older mothers.
