School and Community Support

Monroe County, New York, High School Students 2017

The Monroe County Youth Risk Behavior Survey asked high school students several questions about support available from family and the community.

A significant disparity is seen when students were asked if they feel like they matter to people in their community. Only 46 percent of Latinos agreed or strongly agreed, which was significantly less than the white and African-American respondents (62 percent and 57 percent respectively).
