Physical Activity by Race/Ethnicity

Finger Lakes and Western New York Region (2021)

This chart uses Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) survey data to estimate the percentage of adults engaging in any leisure time physical activity in the past 30 days. Overall, three out of four adults in the Finger Lakes and Western New York regions said that they exercised in the last 30 days. However, this varies by race and ethnicity. White non-Latino respondents are more likely to report leisure time exercise than Latino and Black non-Latino respondents.
