Partnership for Access to Healthcare (PATH)

Still in the planning stages, the Partnership for Access to Healthcare (PATH) is envisioned as a virtual advisory group of residents and stakeholders who provide insights on the social determinants of health in our region. Launch of this initiative has been delayed due to COVID-19.

The initiative is an outgrowth of our in-person PATH convening, a long-standing collaborative effort focused on increasing health insurance coverage and expanding access to care in the Rochester-Finger Lakes region. Working with Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield, MVP Health Care, Monroe County, the Rochester Primary Care Network and other organizations, the partnership identified barriers to insurance coverage, developed strategies to reduce these obstacles and tracked health consequences linked to lack of insurance.

The in-person collaborative wrapped up in 2019 to make way for the launch of a larger online panel of advisors. Stay tuned for more on the new PATH, Common Ground’s first virtual convening.
