Healthi Kids celebrates two years of championing play

October 13, 2017

Healthi Kids hosted their first PlayROCs Celebration this week at the Strong Museum of Play Sept. 27. The event celebrated two years of effort to make Rochester's neighborhoods safe and accessible for all kids to walk, bike and play through such initiatives as a story walk at Phillis Wheatley Community Library and pop-up play days across the city. At the event, guests enjoyed a performance by Strings for Life and awards were given out to PlayROCs Champions.

Want to learn more about the state of play in Rochester? The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation funded a new "State of Play" report this summer. It found that only 12 percent of kids locally get enough daily activity. To read the full report, click here.
