Program Manager

Luz Flores Lee has more than 20 years of experience in health care and academia. At Common Ground Health, Lee manages research and analytics projects, supports the completion of research and data related work plan deliverables, and coordinates larger research and analytic initiatives. She also works with internal and external stakeholders to scope projects, provide project updates, deliver reports and present findings.

A proven leader and facilitator who can bring cross-functional, diverse groups of people together to achieve success, Lee is a Project Management Professional, a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and a leadership and life coach. She also serves as adjunct faculty in data analytics, project management and leadership courses at the Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University.

Lee originally joined Common Ground in 2013, and her responsibilities included supporting clinical practice transformation throughout New York state and sharing lessons learned and tools for improving quality, processes and workflows. Following the practice transformation work, Lee served as a project management consultant to the organization, leading and supporting projects in public health improvement and health equity in the Finger Lakes region. She re-joined the organization in 2021.

Previous work experience included serving as an operational process improvement manager at Unity Health System, training and mentoring Lean Six Sigma project team leaders in behavioral health, long term care and ambulatory practices. As external operations manager/advanced subcontracts manager at Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Lee managed relationships between the company and international external suppliers for the transfusion-medicine and immunohematology market to improve quality, cost, delivery and service.

Lee holds a master’s degree in computer integrated manufacturing with a minor in statistics from Rochester Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science & Art. A dedicated wife and mother, she takes the work she does to heart in all areas of her life. Her hobbies include running and taking family vacations with her husband and two children.
