New York Finger Lakes Region (2015 vs 1990)

The chart shows how the age distribution has shifted significantly since 1990, as baby boomers have moved past their prime working years and people are living longer. The median age in the Finger Lakes region has increased from 33 in 1990 to 40 in 2015.

The data for this analysis are from the nine Finger Lakes counties of Chemung, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne and Yates.
