July 2020 Workforce Newsletter

July 2020

Thank you to health care workers

We continue to be inspired by the compassion, care and commitment demonstrated by our front line workers during the pandemic. Health care workers are giving more than ever before during the COVID-19 crisis and remain steadfast in their fight to keep residents safe. In addition to the doctors and nurses working tirelessly, we applaud home health care workers, certified nursing assistants (CNAs), public health representatives, mental health workers, community health workers and peer advocates. We are grateful for the important work that you do and extend our sincere appreciation. Thank you!

Update: Health care workforce survey

In the March edition of this newsletter we announced an upcoming regional health care workforce survey. Due to COVID-19 this project was delayed; we are please to announce that the survey will now be distributed in fall 2020.

Common Ground Health, in partnership with the Rural and Central New York Area Health Education Centers (AHECs) and the Finger Lakes Performing Provider System (FLPPS) will be conducting a region-wide survey of the skills and knowledge that today’s health care workforce needs. Data from the survey will be shared with educational institutions and other partners to inform training, education and pipeline programs.

This survey is meant for Executive Staff, HR Representatives and/or Program Directors.

If you have questions or to add names to the distribution list, email Melissa Pennise.
