Community Needs Assessment

To support the planning process for DSRIP, Common Ground Health in 2014 conducted a compresensive community needs assessment. The study provides a wealth of information about health status and clinical care needs of residents, identifying areas of greatest need and best opportunities for improving care for Medicaid and uninsured patients. As part of the study, the organization convened 30 focus groups with Medicaid patients and 50 key informant interviews to better understand the barriers faced by communities of color, individuals without health insurance, and the rural and urban poor from across the region.
